KOLIĆ-VEHOVEC, SVJETLANA teaches courses in Educational psychology. She is leader of the project “Personal and Contextual Determinants of Teaching and Learning in Different Age Groups” (grant from the University of Rijeka). She was team leader of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as partner on H2020 project “eConfidence: Confidence in Behaviour Changes Through Serious Games”. She was also leading researcher at the project “Scientific Research of the Effects of Pilot-Project e-School” (grant from CARNET).
She is engaged in the research of determinants of learning in different age groups (students from primary school to university), in different domains (reading, STEM) and contexts (classroom, ICT). (Meta)cognitive determinants include cognitive and metacognitive strategies, affective determinants relate to experienced academic emotions while motivational determinants comprise interest, perceived task value, personal competencies and control as well as academic goals. She also examines the effects of different teaching (e.g. individual and collaborative learning) on learning, affective and motivational outcomes. She uses different research methods – self-assessment as well as experimental methods.
